Acts 4:13
“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.”
I was in South Africa some time ago and something unusual happened. I went to the mall to crop my hair and the moment I sat down, the owner of the place came to me and asked, “Mister, who are you?”
Who is this inquisitive man? I wondered.
When he realised I was thinking of an appropriate answer to give him, he said to me, “I know I am not supposed to ask such a question, but I want to know.”
“Why do you want to know?” I asked.
He said, “When you entered this place, it was as if one thousand people had entered the place with you. There is a very heavy presence here, and I do not understand it. Mister, who are you?” he continued.
I thought to myself, Those are my angels; they are my bodyguards.
I said to him, “What do you mean by that?”
“I cannot describe it,” he said. “As soon you entered, a heavy presence entered with you. And I said to myself, Who is this man? I want to know who you are and what you do,” he concluded.
I probed further but he could not describe it. All he knew was that the whole environment had changed. Finally, I said to him, “I am a pastor.”
“Oh, that explains it. Where are you going to preach today? I want to be there,” he said.
You can cultivate the presence of God by fellowshipping with Him through prayer and studying His Word!
