1 Samuel 4:22
“And she said, The glory is departed from Israel: for the ark of God is taken.”

The glory of God is the presence or power of God made manifest to our senses.
God is omnipresent and omnipotent but his power is not manifested to us at all times.

I have personally experienced the glory of God. I remember one time that I saw Jesus. At that time I was in college. I was praying one morning when I heard a knock at my door. I answered “come in” thinking it was one of the students. When the door opened, Jesus walked right in. I was shocked and dumbfounded. I had just experienced the glory of God.

How can you experience the glory of God? The key is the ark of God.
The ark of God was a wooden box that housed the Spirit of God, in the time of Moses.
The glory is always as a result of the presence of God. When I say the presence of God I mean the presence of the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit is absent there will be no glory. The glory departed because the ark which housed the Spirit of God was taken.

We must learn to host the Holy Spirit. The fundamental requirement for hosting him is holiness because God is Holy.

Let’s lead a holy life: it will attract the Spirit of God and we will experience his glory.
