Have you ever been to a restaurant and seen the sign reserved on a table?
I want you to know that whatever God has planned for you is reserved so you should not be afraid of shortage. Sometimes, we feel others may take our place, blessings, or position because they went before us; or because they are older or more educated or more beautiful or even richer than us. You may be thinking all the good people are already married or all the opportunities for ministry have already been taken or all the good jobs are already occupied. Don’t worry, because your portion has been reserved by the Lord.
1 Samuel 9:24 reads “And the cook took up the shoulder, and that which was upon it, and set it before Saul. And Samuel said, Behold that which is left! set it before thee, and eat: for unto this time hath it been kept for thee since I said, I have invited the people. So Saul did eat with Samuel that day.”
Saul was invited by Samuel to dinner. By the time he got there, the meal was almost finished and it seemed others had eaten all the nice food. What Saul did not know was, his portion had been reserved for him by the Lord.
Are you getting desperate because your options seem to be running out? Pray to the Lord and fear not because “for unto this time hath it been kept for thee.” Your blessing has been reserved.
