Lamentations 3:17
“And thou hast removed my soul far off from peace: I forgat prosperity.”

This is a verse I find very interesting; thus, you can actually forget to prosper. You can be prayerful and fast so much but forget to prosper. You can do the work of God so much and so hard that in the process, you will forget to prosper. You can work for people so hard that at the end of the day you will forget to prosper.

That is why nobody succeeds by mistake. It is intentional.

In order not to forget to prosper, you must first of all have a hunger or desire to prosper. Do you know one thing about desire? It is free. It comes at no cost. Nehemiah used to work for the king but he never had the desire to break free and build his own city. It never occurred to him until he had the desire.

If you want to be anointed, you must desire it. If you want a good marriage, you will need a desire. What you desire and look for in your marriage is what you will get. If you want just anything, you will get anything. In the same way, if you want to prosper, desire it and you will have it.

How can you develop a desire? “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” (Philippians 2:13). May you not forget to prosper!

Pray to God and ask him to put a desire in your heart for prosperity so you do not forget to prosper!
