It is dangerous to be discouraged because it drains your strength and takes away your resolve to fight.
Maybe you lost your job, or you are going through a heartbreak, or you failed an exam.
How can you deal with discouragement?

Psalms 43:5
“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me?
hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.”
1. Give yourself a pep talk.
David spoke to himself. Instead of waiting for someone to encourage him. Words supply life and energy. Recharge your batteries with the word of life; the scriptures.

2. Hope in God.
Sometimes, everything around you may look hopeless because you are looking at the visible: the natural, your circumstances, and it may be bleak. Look to the invisible, look to God because with God all things are possible.

3. When you do this praise will spring out of your heart and ooze out of your lips.
“I shall yet praise him.” Hope fills the heart with melody and makes it sing.

4. Finally, your “countenance”; the way you look and “health” will improve.
By this time you will be energized enough to fight the good fight of faith and win life’s battles.

Talk to yourself and say: I will love again, I will be anointed again, I will write the exam again, I will…again.
