Numbers 20:28

“And Moses stripped Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son; and Aaron died there in the top of the mount: and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mount.”

God told Moses that Aaron would not enter the promised land because he had rebelled against him. He instructed him to strip him of his priestly garment. When he did, Aaron died immediately on Mount Hor

How does this apply to us?

First of all, let’s examine what God said about the garment before it was made.

And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty.”

Ex 28:2.

The garment symbolized holiness and it had two purposes: Beauty and Glory.

It was to make his life beautiful both spiritually and in the natural. It was also an expression of the glory or nature of God.

The garment we wear is not a physical garment but a spiritual one called holiness.

When we are stripped of holiness we become vulnerable to death. Death can express itself in many forms: the death of your relationship with God, marriage, peace, finances or literal death.

Let’s walk in obedience so we can keep our garment of protection on.
