From Bad To Worse!

Have you ever been in a situation when things have gone from bad to worse? Well, I have! Judges 7:2 says, “And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people that are with thee are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying, mine own hand hath saved me.” In a time when Gideon was facing the first major battle of his life against the Midianites, he was getting less help instead of more help. God downsized his army instead of increasing it. The situation went from bad to worse. Humanly speaking, it meant the battle was going to be more difficult, but divinely speaking, it meant more grace. Paul said, “When I am weak, then am I strong.” Sometimes, God will remove the sources of our natural strength and change a situation from bad to worse. He does this so that, when we gain the victory, we will not say, “My own hand has saved me.” Take heart if your situation has become worse, because it has become better. God said, “My strength is made perfect in your weakness.” Learn to trust and acknowledge the help of God! Kakra...

My Brother’s Job Has Been Restored!

Dear Kakra, I sent you a prayer request about a year ago that you should pray for my brother who lost his job after he returned from holidays in UK. Prophet I want to thank you for your prayer in Jesus’ name...

War of Words!

A prophet was sent by God to deliver the word of the Lord to King Jeroboam. As part of his instructions he was not to eat or drink anything in the city. An older prophet in the city told him God had told him to eat and drink. Here is an excerpt of the dialogue between the two prophets. 1 Kings 13:17-18 “For it was said to me by the word of the Lord, Thou shalt eat no bread nor drink water there, nor turn again to go by the way that thou camest. He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the Lord, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him.” The end result was that the young prophet was killed by a lion for disobeying God’s instructions. There was a war between the following: the word of the Lord, the word of an angel, the word of experience (the second prophet was an older prophet) and the word of the flesh (I believe the young prophet was hungry). I call this a war of words. The written word of God is higher than any other form of revelation. Failure to place it in its proper category, in which it...

Chained To Your Background!

“Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils. And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept. And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not.” Mark 16:9-11 Many times, people want to chain us to our background; they want to relate to us based on what they knew about us and not what we are now. Sometimes, students are judged based on their past academic performance rather than their present. A teacher can have a preconception that you will fail and will not even bother reading your script but yet still give you a mark. People can judge you based on your color, education or gender without even bothering to know who you are. People can rejoice that you are saved but still deny you of credibility based on what they knew about you. When Jesus resurrected, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene but the disciples disbelieved her. She was not seen as a credible witness because of her past: “Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils” Surely not Mary, anybody but Mary. They must have been thinking maybe the demons are back. Remember God does not relate with you based...
