Jeremiah 42:14,16 “No; but we will go into the land of Egypt, where we shall see no war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor have hunger of bread; and there will we dwell: Then it shall come to pass, that the sword, which ye feared, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine, whereof ye were afraid, shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there ye shall die.” Israel decided to seek refuge in Egypt; a place of relative peace and security for fear that the king of Babylon, who had previously invaded the land will attack again.  Our fear and security can be defined by our past experiences, circumstance or problem. Maybe you were abused, lost a child, marriage or job.  Security is not dependent on our circumstances, but on the Word of God. You can substitute God’s word with people, the familiar or comfortable. In the long run, you will discover that security can only be found in God. God said to Israel; “It shall come to pass, that the sword, which ye feared, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt.” Let’s place our security in the Word and not in circumstances or human beings. The “iron dome” is an Israeli air defense system, which intercepts and destroys rockets and missiles before they reach their intended target. Isaiah 26:1 reads, “In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks.” We are in a spiritual war against the devil, the world and the flesh, and we need to defend ourselves from sin, poverty, sickness etc.  To do this, we must build “a strong city” around our lives; safe from harm and attacks. To build this” strong city,” we must set up a “spiritual iron dome.” I want you to notice the following.  First of all, Salvation is one of the spiritual weapons God has “appointed” or deployed to make this possible.  Secondly, Salvation can act as walls and bulwarks, which protects us from the missiles of the enemy. “Salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks.” A bulwark is something that provides protection and a wall does a similar thing.  Surrendering your life to Jesus will protect you from vices, health problems, a broken home, Hell, etc. Thirdly, begin to sing. Praise and worship protect us by erecting spiritual walls. You must remember that “In that day shall this song be sung.”  Salvation and singing will form a spiritual “iron dome” around you.  Are you saved? Then begin to sing! Kakra Baiden...

Do you want to be delivered from evils like diseases, evil spirits, and sin? Do you want to maintain your deliverance and be safe after you have been delivered?  Here are two keys.  Jeremiah 33:16 “In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The Lord our righteousness.” Judah and Jerusalem were to be saved or delivered and dwell in safety. This was to be achieved  through a particular name: The “Lord our righteousness.” Let’s look at one example through which this can be achieved. 1. The blood of Jesus. Romans 10:9 has this procedure. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” When we repent and ask the Lord to wash away our sins by the blood of Jesus we become spiritually saved or born again.The blood of Jesus is a detergent that washes away sin. This makes us children of God. This takes us to the next step; safety. Children with fathers are safer than children without fathers. They receive counsel, wisdom, and protection. In the same way, God keeps us safe when we become his kids. Leading a righteous life also keeps you safe from things like teenage pregnancy, truancy, and diseases.  Do you want to be delivered and saved? Make the Lord your righteousness. Kakra...
