The “iron dome” is an Israeli air defense system, which intercepts and destroys rockets and missiles before they reach their intended target.
Isaiah 26:1 reads, “In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks.”
We are in a spiritual war against the devil, the world and the flesh, and we need to defend ourselves from sin, poverty, sickness etc.
To do this, we must build “a strong city” around our lives; safe from harm and attacks. To build this” strong city,” we must set up a “spiritual iron dome.”
I want you to notice the following.
First of all, Salvation is one of the spiritual weapons God has “appointed” or deployed to make this possible.
Secondly, Salvation can act as walls and bulwarks, which protects us from the missiles of the enemy. “Salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks.”
A bulwark is something that provides protection and a wall does a similar thing.
Surrendering your life to Jesus will protect you from vices, health problems, a broken home, Hell, etc.
Thirdly, begin to sing. Praise and worship protect us by erecting spiritual walls. You must remember that “In that day shall this song be sung.”
Salvation and singing will form a spiritual “iron dome” around you.
