Genesis 2:17
“But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”

It’s not every fruit that’s edible, some fruits look delicious but they are poisonous.
In the realm of the Spirit, knowledge is a tree that bears attractive fruits. Adam ate of the fruit because of this.

When does knowledge become dangerous? When it contradicts the word. Knowledge in computing, science, medicine, finance etc is good and has contributed greatly to human advancement.

God is not against knowledge because he gave us that capacity. That’s why Adam could name all the animals.

His knowledge became dangerous when he exalted it above the word of God.
For example, it sounds logical to have sex with someone you love and intend to marry because after all, it’s an expression of love. It even sounds logical to me but you must remember logic can be poisonous.

Anytime something looks sensible and logical but contravenes the word, remember that you are about to eat of the tree of knowledge and it is poisonous.
