We are living in uncertain times. Politicians seem to be unable to solve the economic problems of the world, jobs are being lost, savings are being wiped out, people are losing their homes, divorce is on the increase, and no one seems to know what the future holds.
Jesus prophesied about the last days, and said insecurity and uncertainty will be one of the main features of the world.
In Luke 21:26 he said, “Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.”
What should be your response in times of uncertainty?
Verse 28 provides the answer, it reads, “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”
In times of uncertainty, you should not focus on your circumstances, “the things which are coming on the earth,” Why? Because they are bound to happen.
Rather, focus on God by “looking up and lifting your head to heaven.”
Security can only be found in God, so put your trust in Him by relying on His word!
