Luke 2:13-14
“And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”

The term “good will” means good intentions. When I was not born again, I struggled to follow God because I thought I would have to lead a miserable life. I suspected God’s intentions towards me. I felt He had a bad will. I was scared He would make me marry someone I did not like. Have you been in that situation before?

We are sometimes tempted to think that God doesn’t have good intentions for us. That is why people are reluctant and afraid to fully follow God. Some believe if they go into full-time ministry, for instance, God could send them as missionaries to a place they may not like. This is contrary to Scripture!

One of the reasons why Jesus came to this earth was to express the good intentions He has for us!
From experience I can tell you that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose (Rom. 8:28).

I am really enjoying myself as a Christian. It is good to be one. God certainly has good will towards men!

Learn to trust God in all you do, for He has good intentions towards you!
