Zechariah 2:4-5
“And said to him: Run, tell that young man, ‘Jerusalem will be a city without walls because of the great number of people and animals in it. And I myself will be a wall of fire around it,’ declares the Lord, ‘and I will be its glory within.”

What does it mean to be blessed like a town without walls? What does this blessing mean?

1. The removal of limitations.
Walls represent limitations. Growth can be limited by the lack of money, education, connections, sin, or by your enemies. A person without walls overcomes limitations.

2. Divine protection.
A town without walls may look vulnerable, but God promises to provide an invisible wall of fire around the town. Sometimes, you may feel powerless against people who are more powerful and influential than you. You can also be financially, socially or spiritually vulnerable. God provides spiritual walls of fire.

3. Overflowing blessings.
Blessings can overflow over a wall. This symbolizes abundance.

How can you claim this blessing? God will have to be the “glory within.”

Firstly, the glory of God is His presence; you must be born again.

Secondly, glory means honor; you must honor God.

Finally, He must be at the centre of your life; “within.”

May you be like a town without walls!
