“But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.”
One of the keys to having the anointing is for your spiritual eyes to open. Most of the anointed people in the Bible had their spiritual eyes opened before they could access the anointing. All they had to do was to “see something.”
Many of us want God to anoint us for greater works. But in my estimation, the fastest, easiest, and best way to receive a significant anointing is through dreams and visions. You can, for instance, write your own computer software. This will, however, be a laborious experience since it requires much time, schooling, and learning. You could also download that same software instantly from the Internet and be able to use it to do things your computer could not do previously.
Dreams and visions represent the instant downloading of “spiritual files” into your spirit. When Elisha asked Elijah for the double portion of the anointing, the only requirement he placed on him was his ability to see. Second Kings 2:10 reads, “If thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.” Immediately a major anointing came upon him, which enabled him to part the river Jordan into two.
