Numbers 14:34
“After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise.”
Are you waiting for a promise from God to be fulfilled in your life? It could be a spiritual calling, job, spouse or child. It is possible to have a promise from God and not see the fulfillment of the promise. A breach of promise means failure to do what you promised to do.
God promised Israel that he would take them into a land which flowed with milk and honey: Canaan. This promise was not fulfilled in the days of the initial receivers of the prophecy rather it was their children who inherited the blessing.
The reason was murmuring against the Lord. Murmuring is one of the things that God hates and it can easily abort a promise that God has made to you. In relation to Israel God said “Ye shall know my breach of promise.”
Watch your mouth and avoid murmuring because it can cancel your promises.
