Mark 11:24
“Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

Everywhere Jesus went, He did not request, “Can I pray for you?” No! The people had to desire change themselves. It was not that He did not know their desires; He did. However, He never brought the change until the people themselves requested it.

Matthew 8:1-3 reads, “When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him. And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.”

A great multitude followed Jesus as He was coming from the mountaintop, but only one person got healed. Why? Because he had the desire. The rest were just engaged in following Him. From the mountains, the multitudes were those He taught. This leper was not there when Jesus preached the sermon, but he had a desire and rushed to receive his healing. All the sermon hearers went home, still the same.

Do not concentrate on just following Jesus; concentrate also on receiving from Him.

Pray to God concerning your desires!
