Philippians 4:6-7
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

The phrase, “Be careful for nothing,” can also be translated, “Do not be stressed about anything.” This means that God does not want us to be stressed. The word “stress” means great worry caused by a difficult situation. Anxiety and worry are children of stress. Are you worried or anxious? Are you in any situation that puts you in this category?

Stress can come with the blessings of God. You may ask, how? The reason is simple. Our table is always prepared in the presence of our enemies. Jesus faced great opposition and antagonism. His enemies included politicians, unbelievers, and believers.

Put all your stresses, worries, and illnesses on the shoulders of Jesus. Once you do this, you can relax and let the peace of God seize your mind. If you trust in Him, He will take care of you.

Instead of focussing on your enemies, focus on God’s Word and His blessings. Enjoy them and watch stress slip away whilst peace seizes your mind.

Decide to focus on God’s Word instead of your problems. Spend more time with the Word today and you will be free from stress.
