Matthew 7:15-16
“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?”

One of the features of these last days is falsehood or deception. If the church will be affected, can you imagine the degree of deception that will be in the world?

A brother recently told me how he had been deceived by a friend to part with a large sum of money. In a conversation with someone, he told me his wife has transformed completely into a different person after their marriage. I once knew a lady, who was financially exploited by someone she had fallen in love with.

How then can you protect yourself from being deceived?

Firstly, Jesus said, “Do not judge people with your senses, i.e. what you see or hear. Why? Because “Sheep can dress up like wolves.” People can pretend to be what they are not.

Secondly, Jesus said; “Judge people by their fruit.” This means judge them by their deeds and actions. For example, you must not partner in business with someone who has no proven record of successes in business. He could have a smooth tongue, but his deeds may not support what he says.

Do these and protect yourself from being deceived!
