Zephaniah 3:17
“The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; He will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; He will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.”

Did you know that God sings? Since man was made in the image of God I am not surprised that God sings. What makes him sing? He sings when he delivers you from trouble. Let’s examine closely the scripture above.

Israel was in bondage in Babylon and God sent a message through his prophet that he would save them. Is something keeping you in bondage? It could be sin, a habit, problem, human being or situation. Fear not because God will save you.

First of all, we are told that he is mighty. God is mightier than any problem which confronts you at the moment. “The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty”

Secondly, he has promised to save you. “He will save” that’s very reassuring so keep on trusting him.

Thirdly, he derives great pleasure from saving us. We are told that “he will rejoice over thee with joy” Imagine God leaping from his throne and dancing in joy because he saved you.

He will then proceed to his throne and “rest in his love”

Finally, he will begin to sing “he will joy over thee with singing”

Keep on praying and believing because God rejoices and sings when he saves you.
