Workings mean the way in which something functions. Nations work differently because they have different people, laws, and cultures. An Islamic country works differently from a Christian country. It will be folly to serve God in an Islamic country like you would in a western country. You will have to change your mode of operation.
Mark 4:26-27
“And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.”
The Kingdom of heaven is a “spiritual country” and in this verse, Jesus explained some of the inner workings. Let’s examine some.
1. You need the word of God.
The word of God is called a seed. Jesus said “the seed is the word”.
You need it to flourish.
2. You have to apply it in faith.
When a farmer cast seeds into the ground he may not know how it will grow but he does it out of faith.
3. You need patience
You need patience to reap a harvest. Be patient with God.
4. Trust God.
A farmer has to trust the ground. When you are believing God for healing, finances or a spouse or you may not know how God will do it, but trust God.
If a farmer can trust the earth with his seed, then we can trust the word.
