Galatians 5:22-23
“But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”

During the last Christmas, my wife and I bought gifts for our children. We wrapped them in nice wrappers and hanged them on a Christmas tree along with other gifts. I also have a mango tree in my house which has been there for years. During this period, it had not borne any fruits.

When Christmas was over, the Christmas tree was removed. The mango tree on the other hand remained and with time, it bore many fruits. The difference between these two trees is that, whilst one bore fruits, the other bore gifts.

One thing about a fruit is that, it endures or stays for long. The mango tree which had been there for years still remained; but the Christmas tree came up quickly and went quickly. If we want to succeed in life, we will need the fruit called character. Without character, you can start something and like the Christmas tree, it will not last.

God can give you a great financial breakthrough today, but for this breakthrough to endure, you will need character. What sustains marriage is not your legs, height or voice but character.

A good character makes things last. Whether you are married, anointed or into business, you will need a good character to go the distance!

Strive to develop a good character in every area of your life!
