Luke 2:34-35
“And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against; (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.”
Simeon prophesied over baby Jesus and declared to Mary His mother, “…a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also, that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.” Simeon practically said, “This Christmas, God is giving you a mirror not for your face but for your soul.”
Your soul is made up of your mind, will and emotions. How can you tell the state of your soul? By using the mirror of God’s word; Jesus.
As you read your bible, it shows you the image of your soul, the problems and the corrections that have to be made. After you look into your physical mirror, do not forget to also look into the mirror of your soul.
This Christmas, your beauty will be more than skin deep!
