Are you struggling to believe that God can forgive you?

I once had a friend who used to struggle with the concept of forgiveness after he became born again. He could not understand why God did not use the power He had to punish him, but rather forgave him.

Sometimes, people find it hard to believe that you can have a strength you don’t abuse. They may find it difficult to believe that you can have access to money in the office and not abuse it or not take advantage of someone who is hopelessly in love with you.

Micah 7:16 reads, “The nations shall see and be confounded at all their might…” You can be confused if you don’t understand the mindset of God.

Micah 7:17 explains further. “Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passers by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.”

God delights in using His power to pardon iniquity, forgiving or passing by our transgressions, and showing mercy.

Forgiveness is not a feeling; it’s based on the nature of God.
