Genesis 19:36-38
“Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father. And the firstborn bare a son, and called his name Moab: the same is the father of the Moabites unto this day. And the younger, she also bare a son, and called his name Benammi: the same is the father of the children of Ammon unto this day.”
When a man sleeps with his daughter, it is called “incest,” and it is forbidden spiritually and legally. Medically, it can lead to weaker offsprings and abnormalities.
Lot’s daughters committed incest with him when he was drunk, and produced two children who became two nations; the Moabites and the Ammonites. They became enemies of Israel and fought many battles against them. They were a “strange breed,” because they were the products of incest.
When we fertilize the word of God with other strange ideas, we can produce strange breeds; offspring that in the long run, fight us. For example, if you mix biblical principles of marriage with worldly principles, you can produce a strange breed of marriage that can lead to fighting. Another example; if you mix the word of God with common sense, you can produce something that can fight your health. I once knew a Christian brother who decided to have sexual relations outside marriage. He eventually had HIV and died. The strange breed of principles destroyed him.
Let us obey the Word in its purest form and avoid strange breeds!
