Acts 2:17, 18
“And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: and on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy.”
There are two things I want you to notice about this scripture. The first is, God poured out of His Spirit upon all flesh on the day of Pentecost. This includes men, women, and children; literally everyone.
Secondly, what He poured out was prophecy, dreams, and visions.
Friend, God is expecting you to operate in dreams and visions. That is His wish. Unspiritual people belittle dreams and visions.
When Joseph dreamt, his brothers hated and despised his dreams. There are some dreamers in the church who, like Joseph, are being laughed at and hated. Those who laugh at such people must rather be envious of them, because it is a good thing to dream and have visions. I am proud that I am a man of dreams and visions. Like Paul said in 2 Corinthians 12:7, we are not supposed to boast about our cars, houses, or phones, but about dreams and visions.
What do you boast about? Recently I went to South Africa. The moment I got there an Islamic spirit came to my room and asked me, “Man of God, what are you doing here? Go back to where you came from.” “Why should I return home?” I asked. “Our agenda is to turn South Africa into an Islamic state because it is the most powerful African country. If you do not want trouble, leave!” he responded. I was amazed! The same thing happened when I went to Mozambique; I had a vision about Satan’s plans for the country. These encounters helped me to know what to pray about in intercession.
Pray for dreams and visions to know the mind of God!
