Galatians 5:16-17, 18
“[This] I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.”
The word “lusteth” means to fight. According to Paul, the flesh is warring against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh. The dominant one will win the war. When the Holy Spirit is dominant, you do not operate by rules.
First Timothy 1:9 reads, “Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers.”
When we are filled with the Spirit; our actions are replaced by the Holy Spirit, who convicts us when we err. If you have a husband who is full of the Spirit, you will not have to instruct him to love you and be kind to you. The Holy Spirit will influence him. Why? Because when a man is not filled with the Spirit, he has to be put under so many laws to constrain him.
Let us decide to be influenced by the Spirit and we will be above human levels.
