Nehemiah 1:11
“O Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king’s cupbearer.”

Nehemiah was a slave in the palace of Shushan for twenty years. You may have been in a situation for twenty years or more, but you can change it. You can be in a bad marriage for twenty-five years, but still you can change it. You may be in a poor family for three generations, but you can change that story.

He was in the palace when he was told he had some visitors. He went out to meet them and asked what was happening in his country. They replied, “Things are bad. The people are suffering. There is shame and reproach and the walls of Jerusalem are consumed with fire” When he heard this, he began to cry. But it did not stop there; he decided to do something about it. He had a desire for change.

If you want to change your present circumstances, you must start with a desire. Nehemiah had a desire to be free from slavery, rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, and prosper.

Desire a change and it will be a catalyst for a financial breakthrough!
