“For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding” Colossians 1:9 To fulfill the will of God in your life, you will need two things; “Wisdom” and “Spiritual understanding.” “Spiritual Understanding” is your ability to understand spiritual things. This can be done by the revelation of the Holy Spirit through the scriptures, dreams and visions. For example, I understood God’s plan for my life through a vision. Jesus told me I was called into ministry as a Prophet and Teacher. My problem was how to develop and become a Prophet and Teacher. This is where wisdom is needed. “Wisdom” will help you to make intangible things tangible. It will show you how, when, who and how to implement your calling. Proverbs 15:30 “The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart: and a good report maketh the bones fat.” Do you want to be happy and healthy? This scripture talks about two ways of achieving this and I want us to examine it.  First of all rejoicing or happiness is a product of light. “The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart” What light is this? This is the light of the scriptures. It drives away darkness or depression from your soul. The Bible refers to God’s word as light.  “lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them” 2 Corin. 4:6. Secondly, good health or “fat bones” is a product of a good report. The word gospel means good news. Your inner  being has an effect on your health. Sometimes when people have problems they begin to lose weight although they are not dieting. Their inner state casts a shadow on their health.  Jeremiah said “Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of my heart” The word is a source of joy and health, feed on it daily. “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death; I will fear no evil: for thou [art] with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” Psalms 23:4 Fear is an emotion that plagues humanity. No one can be free from fear, but we can learn to deal with it. Life is a journey with changing scenery and faces. There are times when we have to go through dark valleys. In these valleys, we are haunted by real and perceived enemies who appear as shadows of the substance. Have you ever been threatened by a shadow or imagined problem? You may have a job, but be afraid it won’t last! You may have a good marriage, but think it won’t last or be expecting a baby but be afraid it will not be normal! The presence of God can stop this!
