Proverbs 24:16
“For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again.”

The word “resilient” means the ability to recover readily from adversity or depression. A person who is described as resilient is someone who freely bounces back regardless of the situation they find themselves in. Such a person can be likened to a football; it bounces back when it hits the ground. If you are facing a health crisis, I want you to know you can survive it.

When toddlers are trying to walk, they fall many times. Do you know why they eventually walk? It is because when they fall, they rise again. Imagine what will happen if a child refuses to walk after falling many times. That will be sad.

Rise up if you are down because of a financial misfortune, for the bible says the just man will by all means fall, but when he does, he rises. The problem is not the falling; the problem is the rising. Can you rise when you fall?

I don’t know the situation you are in. Maybe you have been sacked from your job, your boyfriend wrote to you and says it’s over, or your landlord is ejecting you from his house because your rent is long overdue. I want you to know there is a new opportunity hidden in there. Micah 7:8 reads, “Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.”

God is expecting you to be resilient today!
