It’s sometimes amazing how one man can make such a huge difference. Sometimes, all the problems of a nation, family or company can be attributed to the actions of one person.
For example, an irresponsible father can be the cause of problems in a family. I know a man who failed to care for his family. The family fell apart and some went into prison. Because of this, his children could also not raise their children and the cycle repeated itself.
1 Kings 18:17-18
“And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel? And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father’s house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the Lord, and thou hast followed Baalim.”
When Ahab met Elijah he asked if he was the one troubling Israel? Elijah replied that it was rather he and his house.
You must not be the cause of the breakup of a family or the collapse of a company or church. You must endeavor not to be a source of trouble.
What creates troublesome people? Troublesome people are conceived in the womb of disobedience. Elijah said to Ahab “Ye have forsaken the commandments of the Lord”.
Do you want to be a blessing? Walk in obedience to the word of God and you will be a blessing wherever you go.
