Psalms 92:10-11
“But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil. Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.”
A unicorn is an extinct or mythical animal with a single long horn which is symbolic of its power. Our spiritual power grows when God anoints us. To “exalt a horn” is to make it bigger and stronger. Your horn (anointing or spiritual power) can grow.
Two things happen when we are anointed.
- Promotion.
“Our horn is exalted” or promoted. Abraham, David, Paul, etc were promoted when the anointing came upon them. - Protection.
The anointing makes you “see” and “hear” in the spirit realm. Warfare is based on intelligence. I was once ministering somewhere when the Lord opened my eyes to see a spirit of death standing by a sick person. After the prayer, the person was healed miraculously. Revelation and power are twins.
Do you want to be promoted or exalted? Remember that promotion and protection come from the anointing. Seek to be anointed.
