Have you ever felt “shut up” or limited by other people? It could be your boss limiting your career, or someone higher up determined to ruin your business or a family member scuttling your marriage plans.
Sometimes, people can limit you; especially when they have authority over you. Their actions or inactions can impede your progress.
Psalms 31:8-9.
“And hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large room.Have mercy upon me, O Lord, for I am in trouble:”
The “hand of the enemy” symbolizes the control that our enemies can have on us. Sometimes in a marriage, there can be another person controlling one of the spouses externally. This could be a family member or even a lover.
What do you do when you are shut up in the hand of people who have power over you and you don’t seem to be able to do anything about it?
You can deploy the spiritual weapon or mercy by asking for it in prayer. “Have mercy upon me, O Lord, for I am in trouble”
May the Lord have mercy on you and deliver you from every enemy who has “shut you up”
