There is a cliché that says “the voice of the people is the voice of God”. This is not necessarily true because God does not necessarily validate numbers; rather, he validates the principles of His Word. The fact that many people are doing a particular thing does not mean God will bless it.

Ezekiel 33:24-25
“Son of man, they that inhabit those wastes of the land of Israel speak, saying, Abraham was one, and he inherited the land: but we are many; the land is given us for inheritance. Wherefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Ye eat with the blood, and lift up your eyes toward your idols, and shed blood: and shall ye possess the land?”

In the time of Ezekiel, there were people who felt if Abraham a single man could inherit the land, then, it was logical that they being many would also inherit the land. God said to them “shall ye possess the land?”

Numbers cannot substitute principles. For example the fact that many people are praying does not necessarily guarantee answered prayer. The prayer of one man who prays using biblical principles will be heard more than a thousand men who pray outside the will of God. God heard the prayers of Moses a single man more than the four million Jews who were following him.

Follow principles not numbers!
