Luke 15:12, 14
And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living. And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land;  and he began to be in want.
Life is like an exam. When you are writing a paper, you may have about a hundred multiple-choice questions to answer. You may have about five choices to make concerning one question. Now, out of the alternatives, there are wrong answers and correct answers.
Your job will be to decide and pick the right answer. As you keep answering from question one through to one hundred, you would have decided on every single question. In the end, every answer is going to be put together and a mark will be given. Someone may score 80/100; another 40/100; and so on. The mark you get will be dependent on the decisions you made whilst answering every individual question.
At the end of the exam, some people may fail; others may pass. Those who failed did not fail on just one question; they made the wrong decision concerning many questions. They may not be able to continue to either junior high school or senior high school; and if it is at tertiary level, they may have to be referred or sacked.
I have realized that one of the most important skills to develop in life is your ability to take good decisions.
For example, life will bring up series of questions: How are you going to feed yourself? How are you going to provide accommodation for yourself? Who are you going to marry? It is a multiple-choice question, because you may have Dede, Irene, and Apalagoma. Out of the alternatives, there is only one answer, and you must get it right.
God’s Word is the answer sheet to many of life’s questions. Make sure you read it so you can provide the right answers!
