Genesis 47:9
And Jacob said to Pharaoh, “The years of my pilgrimage are a hundred and thirty. My years have been few and difficult, and they do not equal the years of the pilgrimage of my fathers.”
Life is hard, and until you have this mindset you may not respond properly to the vicissitudes of life. There are people who seem to be oblivious of this fact and want life to treat them on their own terms and can perform only under favorable conditions.
There are kids who refuse to study and work hard because they expect their parents, to support them. There are adults who want to do things on their own terms and at their convenience. I have come across beautiful women and handsome men who think because of their looks they are entitled to a free passage.
Some Christians even think they don’t have to work hard because they know God. Jacob was blessed by God but he said; “My years have been difficult”
Friend, life is hard so don’t give up when you fail, lose a job, or a relationship. Don’t give up when you are exploited, cheated, or disappointed
Life is hard so get up and fight. God’s grace is sufficient for you.
