1 Timothy 3:1
“This [is] a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work”

Heaven has a permanent advert seeking to recruit people to work for the Lord. The principal requirement is “the desire to work.” You need passion or desire to succeed at anything you do. Passion must be coupled with the desire to work at your dreams; otherwise it will remain a mere dream. The first requirement for being a pastor is the passion or the desire to work.

Sometimes, when I speak to people who are unemployed, I come to the conclusion that they have a passion for receiving salary, a bonus, commission to rest or something else, but they do not have the passion or desire to work.

Someone once informed me of a job opening in a factory. I made an announcement in church, and asked to meet those who were unemployed. About 21 men came forward. I directed them to the factory to go for an interview. Surprisingly, not even one showed up on the said date. They were jobless alright, but they lacked the desire to work.

If you want your dreams to come true, make sure it is backed by the desire to work. Because even God, who is merciful, does not employ people without a desire to work!
