Hebrews 12:3
“For consider him that endureth such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.”
The word “contradiction” in this scripture means opposition. To oppose something is to resist it. Has it occurred to you that any time you want to move forward, something opposes you? Even the wind becomes a thing to reckon with the moment you attempt to run. But as long as you are standing still, it will not oppose you in any way.
I have come to realise that opposition is normal for progressive people. As long as you are growing and moving forward, be prepared for it. Even Jesus in the passage above underwent opposition. How much more you?
One way to overcome opposition is to draw inspiration from people who have survived what you are going through. Our first source of inspiration is Jesus. Consider Him, followed by other godly role models.
Have you failed an exam? Are you having difficulties in your business or Christian life? Draw inspiration from people who have been able to survive it all.
Don’t give up, and don’t feel lazy to try again. There is always a second chance!
