How can you distinguish between a false husband, and a good one? Or a false prophet, and a genuine prophet? A false businessman, and a genuine one?

One way to be deceived is to rely solely on your senses; what you see and what you hear. This is because, your eyes can play tricks on you and people with smooth slick tongues can make your ears hear what you want to hear.

In Matthew 7:15-16 Jesus said, “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?”

The way to see the true nature of people is to look at their fruit. When someone proposes marriage to you, don’t look at his words or car; look at his record, his fruit, or works. How many relationships has he had and why did they not work? It is a reflection of who he is.

When I visit a church, I can always tell whether the pastor is genuine or not by looking at his congregation. If it is full of liars, drug dealers, fornicators or sinners, his fruit tells me who he is.

Judge people by their fruits and you will know their true nature!
