Flattery is insincere praise. One of the dangers of flattery is its ability to “corrupt” or distort the truth.

Good decisions are based on good information, you cannot make accurate decisions with poor information. Flattery can cause you to make poor decisions and choices because of poor information.

Truth can be postponed for a long time but it will eventually catch up with you in a moment.

Sometimes, men can flatter women just to take advantage of them, or women can flatter men to gain a financial advantage. We all love praise but how can we protect ourselves from flattery, how can we protect ourselves from people who want undue favor?

Daniel 11:32

“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.”

In this scripture, we are told those who do wickedly against the covenant shall be corrupted by flatteries.” When we violate or disobey the word we open ourselves up to flattery.  This is because the word of God is a spiritual mirror that reveals the truth about anything.

When we live by the word we will be spiritually “strong” to withstand flattery. This will also help us to do exploits or mighty works because the word is powerful.

Walk in obedience to the word so you can identify and withstand flattery.
