Deuteronomy 20:8
“And the officers shall speak further unto the people, and they shall say, what man is there that is fearful and fainthearted? Let him go and return unto his house, lest his brethren’s heart faint as well as his heart.”
The word “contagious” means something that is capable of being transmitted by bodily contact with an infected person or object.
Emotions can be contagious, so it’s important to associate with people with the right emotions. An association with people with negative emotions like bitterness, anger, hopelessness, frustration, doubt, etc., can spread amongst a group of people who are closely related.
Moses urged Israel not to let people who were afraid go to war because negative emotions are contagious. He said, “let him go and return unto his house, lest his brethren’s heart faint as well as his heart.”
Are you struggling with negative emotions? Check your friends! It may be time to separate yourself because, you may be hanging out with the wrong group.
Hang out with Jesus by letting Him speak to you through His Word and you will turn into a lion, because He is the Lion of the tribe of Judah!
