Revelation 10:9
“And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.”

In Revelation 10:9, John describes the effect of the Word of God in our lives. I wonder why many medicines are bitter. The thing which is supposed to cure us is often bitter and difficult to swallow, yet the same bitter pill is supposed to bring relief and joy.

God’s Word is like that; it is bittersweet. There are many people with sick bodies, relationships, marriages, character, spirits and finances. The way out is the medicine of God’s Word.

To take the bitterness of a failed relationship, demonic oppression, or a difficult past out of your life, you will have to first embrace the bitterness of God’s Word. You may have to make some sacrifices, but remember that most medicines are bitter to taste, but bring relief at the end.

God’s Word is like that. Open your heart and receive it, because afterwards it shall be as honey in your mouth.

Take it by obeying it!
