2 Peter 1:5-8
“And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge…For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Why is it that although some people become born again, it does not seem to reflect on their lives; spiritually, economically, maritally or socially?
Every product that exists in a raw form will have little value until value is added to it. For example, cooked rice has a higher value than raw rice because value has been added to it.
There are people who assume that because they have given their lives to Christ by faith, it automatically qualifies them to be successful at anything.
I remember when I was in school. There were Christians who did not study much because they felt being Christians entitled them to be successful during exams. Many of them failed woefully.
They forgot to add other important qualities like discipline and knowledge to their faith in God.
The result is a barren or unfruitful Christian life.
Faith in God is the first step to a more fulfilling life. Do not forget to add other qualities that will make you all that God wants you to be.
Decide to be a more fruitful Christian by adding to your faith!
