Nehemiah 6:9
“For they all made us afraid, saying, Their hands shall be weakened from the work, that it be not done. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands.”
Do you have a specific plan that you want to implement? Then it means you have a project on your mind. It could be a project to be married, start your own business, serve God, become a full time minister, build a house, propose to someone you love and the list goes on.
There are many projects that die in people’s hearts and minds without ever seeing the light of day. Some get started but end up as uncompleted projects.
Nehemiah had a project on his mind, to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. His enemies tried to stop the project; not with a bomb but with a more deadly weapon called fear.
He was misrepresented, lied about, maligned, made a mockery, belittled and became a victim of false accusation but nothing could stop him. The idea was to “weaken his hands” through the weapon of fear.
Fear has made many people to become spectators of their own lives. They keep watching what they could have become instead of becoming involved to determine the outcome of their own lives. It is time to damn the consequences and break out of the shadow of fear.
Put away your fear, strengthen your hands and complete every project you have ever wanted to achieve in your life because life is short!
