There is a song I know which starts with these words, “You make my life so beautiful.”
A beautiful life is not automatic; it has to be made. Will it not be great if we could all have a beautiful marriage, home, children, Christian life etc?
What are some of the things we can do to make life beautiful? God uses parental guidance to make life beautiful.
Proverbs 1:8-9, “My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother: For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.”
These verses tell us, “instructions” can give us two things; Grace and Wealth. “Wealth” because the chains symbolize wealth. “Instructions” can make your life beautiful. Instructions from who? Our parents.
To instruct means to give knowledge by teaching.
When you check the background of many people who have had a difficult life, you will notice that many of them did not have proper parental guidance or they were rebellious.
Honor thy father and mother that it may be well with you!
