Acts 8:2
“And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him.”
I have been to many funerals and it’s amazing how the participants at a funeral usually mirror the life of the one who is dead. I once attended a funeral, where fellow drunkards of the deceased followed the coffin literally drunk, reeking of alcohol, and singing profane songs.
Stephen was buried by devout or holy men. Jesus stood up in heaven to receive his spirit. When you die, who will bury you? Who will receive you? I hope it will not be hell.
Live for God and die the death of the righteous. May your last end be like that of Stephen.
