Psalms 4:6
“There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? Lord, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.”

There are many in this world who have no one to help them. Not all of us can count on our looks, education, friends, connections and family for help. What do you do when there is no one to help you? There are many that say “who will show us any good?”

God can help you when all human help fails. You may say how? The Psalmist said the light of his countenance can help you. What does it mean?

First of all you must recognize God as your source of help. Your dependence on men and your circumstance can make you conclude there is no hope.

Secondly ask for light. Light stands for the word of God. Psalm 109:105 states that, “thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” A revelation from God’s word can rescue you from frustration; read it.

Light also stands for the power of God. Acts 26:18 reads “To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God..”

Pray that God will help you.
