Proverbs 4:11-12
“I instruct you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths. When you walk, your steps will not be hampered; when you run, you will not stumble.”

What does the “way of wisdom” mean?
I want us to begin by looking at the meaning of the word way.
Way means the right behavior. For example, wisdom will not advise you to be rude to your spouse.

Way means method.
Wisdom will not allow you to use the wrong method: An example is using fraud or deceit to make money.

Way means the right action.
When you fall in love, wisdom will not make you take certain actions. An example is premarital sex; because the word of God frowns on it.

What are the benefits of walking in wisdom?
1. You will make the right decisions.
Wisdom will lead you along “right paths.” It will cause you to do what is right in the light of God’s word. This will positively reflect on your finances, marriage, and life in general.

2. You will not be “hampered” or “stumble”
These two words can be summed up in one word; frustration.
Shortcuts and wrong methods seem to give an early, easy and pleasurable advantage but eventually, they give birth to frustration. I have seen intelligent and smart people make the wrong choices and finally end up frustrated in marriage, financially and in life.

Choose the way of wisdom and flourish.
