Habakkuk 2:4
Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
A life of faith ushers you into the zone of the miraculous. This is because faith is the key to the supernatural realm.
There are three things about faith I want us to examine.
1. Your soul can undermine your faith.
Your soul is made up of your mind, will and emotions. When any of these three are elevated above faith it will undermine your faith. “His soul is lifted up”
Your mind fights faith with doubts, your emotions with fear and your will with questions.
2. Being just or holy helps you to cultivate faith.
This is because sin will plague you with guilt, fear, doubt, and unbelief. It will undermine your faith.
3. You need to have faith to live a life of holiness.
Holiness can be costly and can entail suffering. Because of this, you need to believe in the goodness of God and the power of his word to walk in obedience.
The just or holy shall live by faith. Live by faith.
