“For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without [were] fightings, within [were] fears. Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;”
2 Cor. 7:5-6

God puts people in our lives for different reasons. There are people we meet who are supposed to be our spouses; some employers; some spiritual fathers and the list goes on.

Our ability to discern the role of each individual is critical because it will determine how we relate to them and what we should expect from them. This helps us to avoid frustrations because you can expect your wife to treat you like your mum, forgetting she is not your mum but your wife. You may be demanding from her something she cannot supply.

There are people God puts in our lives to comfort us in times of discouragement. One way the Holy Spirit comforts us is through people.

Who is your Titus? He could be a friend, a colleague or a particular pastor who encourages you the most.

The great Paul discerned and sent for his Titus. Send for yours and His coming will release you from the valley of despair!
