Have you ever experienced rejection? It is one of the most painful negative human emotions you can experience. Sometimes, you can be rejected in the office when you are always overlooked when a promotion comes up. You may try to remedy this by working harder but you are still overlooked. You can also experience it in love; someone you love desperately can break your five-year relationship and marry someone else. It can even be at home, where a particular sibling is favoured above you.

What you must remember is there are certain rejections that are orchestrated by God to give you a better blessing.

Psalms 118:22-23 says, “The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner. This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.”

The “stone” which represents the rejected person was rejected because “it was the Lord’s doing.” God caused the person to be rejected. The reason was to change the position of that stone and make it the headstone.

Rejection can close doors and open new ones to a greater destiny. Pray for discernment to see the blessings that may be hidden in rejection!
